Cafu Da Truth Releases A Dynamic Track
The Unrelenting Demand For A Place At The Grown Ups Table Surges On.
After this acha tuone kama bado you’ll be happening.
Juu buda kaa wewe ni baba yao mi ni orphan.
Cafu Da Truth a.k.a The Tall Rap Midget has released a song titled M.O.U.S.E which means MOMENT OF ULTIMATELY SILENCING EMCEES. It’s a fiery new track with great delivery. The song is produced by Chuo Records. It includes knocks at King Khali and King Kaka.
Cafu Da Truth a.k.a The Tall Rap Midget is a Hip Hop artist, one of Kenya’s proficient battle Emcees, a poet, and a lyricist who was born and raised in Soweto, Kibera. He is part of the acclaimed PCL (Punchlines Crazy Lines) conglomerate group and a profound and active member of Kibera’s Street Theatre crew. He has featured on various projects and collaborations and is set to release his debut album very soon. Link up with him to sample his work. Anyway, back to the song review.
The following two lines from this track caught my attention;
1) After this acha tuone kama bado you’ll be happening
(After this, let’s see if you will still be happening)
This seems like a prodigious shot at Khaligraph Jones, since he had earlier released a track titled We Be Happening featuring Kristoff. The song also has a prime Remix by All Stars (a couple of local artists namely Abbas Kubaff, Frasha from P-Unit, Wyre a.k.a The Lovechild, Nessa just to mention but a few).
2) Juu buda kama wewe ni baba yao mi ni orphan
(If you are their father, then I am an orphan)
Khaligraph refers to himself as Baba Yao (their father) in almost all his songs and also in real life. His being the father of them all is metaphorical to a certain level since he is insinuating that he is the father of Kenyan hiphop, the beast who murders any beat, be it local or international.
